Learning journeys

Two ways through DarkBird. Find the one that matches your job and you will get value faster.

DarkBird serves two distinct workflows. Understanding which journey applies to you helps you get value faster.

The Engineer's Journey

Goal: Stop answering the same technical questions for every quote. Train the system to scope like you do.

  1. Organize

    Go to Library → Install Cards → Expert Assistant tab and click Scan catalog. DarkBird embeds your products, groups them into clusters by similarity, and proposes Install Cards from those clusters. This also runs on its own right after you import a product CSV or resync your PSA catalog — and you can turn on Auto-Scan Catalog Every 30 Days in Settings → AI Preferences to keep it refreshing without you.

  2. Build

    Generate cards from the proposed clusters, or describe install work conversationally in the Expert Assistant — voice input included.

  3. Teach

    Add Selection Criteria to cards (e.g., "If User Count > 50, recommend this card") so the AI selects them automatically.

  4. Refine

    Run real projects and let the AI learn. When the Bird encounters a scope it has not seen before, it captures the clarifying questions it asked. Those questions are automatically promoted into the library when the same pattern appears across multiple projects.

The Sales Journey

Goal: Build accurate, professional quotes in minutes without pulling engineers into every scoping call.

  1. Interview

    Describe the vision in plain language. Let the Bird guide you through the technical discovery — no engineering background required.

  2. Map

    Finalize the estimate and assign cards to specific project sites for multi-location jobs.

  3. Contract

    Generate a professional narrative-style Scope of Work with one click.

  4. Sync

    Link the project to your PSA (ConnectWise or HaloPSA) to keep all records aligned.
