How-to guides
Connect an integration
What each integration enables, and how DarkBird nudges you to keep records linked.
Connect your PSA or CRM in Settings → Integrations. Credentials are encrypted at rest and never exposed to the browser.
Integration policy: allow but warn
DarkBird believes in data integrity but understands the need for flexibility. You can always create projects manually, but the system encourages linking:
- Context-Aware Search — Search active Opportunities, Tickets, or Deals directly in the project creation dialog
- Sync Status — A green link icon in the project header confirms the project is mapped to an external record
- Visual Warnings — A yellow icon appears on unlinked projects when an integration is active, encouraging synchronization
- Retroactive Linking — Use the Link button in the project header to connect an existing project to a PSA record at any time
| Integration | What it enables |
|---|---|
| ConnectWise PSA | Create or link opportunities; push BOM + labor estimate to opportunity; sync products to catalog; push WBS phases and tickets to project; pull time entries for actuals |
| Halo PSA | Create or link opportunities (quotations); push BOM + labor estimate to quotation; sync product catalog; push WBS phase and task tickets to project; pull time entries for actuals |
| Quoter | Create a draft quote from a project; push a plain-text scope summary; push BOM as individual line items; push labor hours as a single Labour line or one per install card; link a Quoter contact |
Sync logs
Every sync operation is logged. Go to Settings → Integrations and click on a connected integration to see its sync history, including any errors and the number of records processed.
