Read the sales pipeline board
A read-only mirror of the quotes you already send, so DarkBird can tell you which estimates actually convert.
The pipeline board at /pipeline mirrors quotes from Quoter and deals from HubSpot into one board. It is a mirror, not a second system of record: DarkBird never changes a stage, and nothing you do here writes back to the source. Moving a deal forward still happens in Quoter or HubSpot.
The pipeline is an opt-in module, enabled per organization. There is no self-serve switch for it yet — if the Pipeline entry is missing from the left rail, your organization does not have it turned on.
The five lanes
Draft, Open, Won, Lost, Expired. There is deliberately no Sent, Viewed or Negotiating lane: neither source reports whether a human opened the document, so those columns would be permanently empty while looking like data.
Draft is excluded from open pipeline. Pushing an estimate from DarkBird creates a Quoter draft, so counting drafts would inflate your pipeline with quotes nobody has sent. The draft count is still shown beside the open count so nothing is hidden.
The numbers along the top
- Open pipeline — value of everything live, drafts excluded. Quote value is one-time plus upfront charges; recurring revenue is never summed into it.
- Won — value and count of everything closed won.
- Win rate — won as a share of won plus lost. Expired quotes are not counted as losses.
- Days to close — median from the first time DarkBird saw a quote to the day it was won. A quote that was already closed the first time it synced is excluded, because DarkBird never saw it open.
- History since — the date DarkBird started observing. Anything closed before then is missing from the trend, which is why the board says so rather than letting an early figure look authoritative.
If the board holds more than one currency, totals are shown as bare numbers with no symbol. A cross-currency sum stamped with one arbitrary currency would be confidently wrong; an unlabelled number is merely incomplete.
Keeping it current
- Sync now pulls the latest from every connected source. The header shows how long ago the last successful sync was, so a stale board is visible rather than assumed.
- If a provider failed or the result was cut short, a banner says so above the lanes. A partial board that stays silent looks like a complete one.
- Refreshing on a schedule is written but not switched on yet - it needs a scheduler job and a secret that only an administrator can create. Until then the board updates when someone syncs it.
With the module on, the reporting dashboard gains a Sales pipeline card, so quote-to-close data sits beside delivery variance instead of in a separate tool.
